How much space do you need?
We require an area of 5m (w) x 3m (d) in order for the band to perform and approx.
How is it best to time things?
A standard evening would look something like this.
18:00 Arrival
19:30 Set up by
19:30 - 21:00 Playlist music or DJ
21:00 - 22:00 First dance/Band Set 1
22:00 - 22:30 Playlist music or DJ
22:30 - 23:30 Band Set 2
23:00 - 00:00 Playlist music or DJ
This is just a guide and can be flexible to suit your requirements.
Can I pick the bands playlist?
You are more than welcome to choose a playlist from the songs we have available on our repertoire list – however we would kindly request that we decide which order the songs will be performed. You can also let us know what songs you DO and DO NOT want to be played at your event.
Where will you travel to?
Players Only are based in Bristol but are more than happy to travel all over the UK and even internationally.
Can I see you play live?
Yes – all public events will be announced on our facebook page so do give us a Like if you would like to keep an eye out for these gigs.
Will you learn our special song?
We are more than happy to play any songs that might be requested – however some songs can be very difficult and unsuitable for a 4 piece band to play. If this is the case we will let you know that we are unable to play your requested song. If you do have a special song that you would like us to play for your event just let us know when making the booking – that way we will have plenty of time to learn it for you.
Is the video on your website a true reflection of the band?
We are a young, high energy band full of charisma. Performing popular songs from the top 40 charts – our modern and refreshing approach is reflected through our style and is portrayed through our imagery and video performance.
How do I book you?

Are you able to DJ in between sets?
We can provide a playlist of music that will be played between our live performances to keep the dance floor filled for your guests. This will be manned by one of the band members.
Can we make DJ requests in advance to my event?
If you have any specific songs you would like to be played via the DJ we would need to receive these prior to the event so we can include them into the playlist and we will do our best to accommodate as best we can. If we cannot provide the songs you would like then we would encourage you to provide your own laptop/mp3 device to play the songs that can then be plugged into our PA system.
Can we use your sound system for speeches?
You are welcome to use our sound system for the speeches – however if this requires the band to arrive at the venue earlier than scheduled, this will need to be taken into consideration and an extra fee may apply.
Do you have lights?
Players Only provide state of the art LED lighting that will fill the dance floor as well as the band and staging area.
How long do you play for?
We usually play 2 one hour sets of music – this can also be divided into 3 forty minute sets if this is something you would prefer. We also offer 2 forty five minute sets as a acoustic duo – playing chilled, acoustic versions of the latest songs in the charts.
What time do you start and finish?
Players Only normally perform their first set at 21:00 and the second set at 22:30. All music will be finished by midnight (unless requested to play later). All these timings can be flexible to suit your schedule at the event. With plenty of notice this shouldn’t be a problem.
How long do you take to set up?
Once all equipment is loaded into the venue it should take no longer than an hour to set up and sound check all equipment.
Can I provisionally book you?
Unfortunately this is something we do not offer. Due to being in high demand for various events we ask all our clients to secure the booking in advance so everything is planned with precision for your special event.
What if the band split up before my event?
Like most working bands in this industry we take our profession very seriously and treat it with the respect of any working job. However, in the unlikely event that the band may split we would do everything we can to supply another band to the same standard.
Can my sisters/bosses/daughters dog sing with your band?
We always want to encourage our audiences to have a great time but sadly we wouldn’t want to invite your guests on stage with us. Sometimes this can cause slight issues – a more major issue that can occur is damaged equipment…which can be expensive to fix! On a more positive note, if you do have a friend or family member that would like to sing or play a song with the band then please let us know in advance to your event and we will see what we can do for you.
What will the band wear?
We always dress appropriately depending on the type of event. For example weddings/corporate events we will wear smart attire. We will also dress up for any themed/fancy dress events. Please check out our gallery to see our usual clothing attire.
Does the band have PAT and PLI certificates?
We will always have up to date PAT certificates for all our electrical equipment and we have up to £10M cover for Public Liability Insurance.

How much does it cost to book the band?
Price will always vary depending on the location of the event, the time of year, timings and any additional services you might request. You can get an instant quote by using the booking tool on this website or by calling our agents.

Do Players Only have any specific requirements?
We require a hot meal and drinks to be supplied during our time at the event. We would also request a quiet room where can we go between playing our sets and also to change our clothing attire.
What type/size venues are you able to play at?
We have played a huge variety of different types of venues. Some of which include festivals, large marquees, intimate clubs, grand ballrooms and even private residencies.
How loud will the band be?
We always make sure our level of sound is adaptable depending on the type of venue we are playing in. Before we start our performance we will always sound check first to make sure our sound levels are either not too loud or even too quiet for your guests. If you discover your venue has a sound limiter please do let us know prior to the event just so we aren’t surprised by this when arriving at the venue.
What is the band power requirement?
Adequate electrical supply, i.e. a minimum of 2 standard 3 pin, 13 amp power sockets near the performance area that are independent, i.e. NOT shared with catering, disco, etc. This should save overloading any circuits! If we are running off of a generator, we run no more than 3000 watts from a 230 volt supply = 13 amps.
Do Players Only offer any additional services?
There are also additional extras we offer such as: (prices may have changed)
• Manned DJ - £100 - One of the band members will DJ, playing dancefloor fillers and allowing for requests between and after the band’s live sets.
• Professional DJ - £POA - Hire a separate Professional DJ through us and keep the night going with additional lighting, haze, lazers, etc and turn the live music venue into a nightclub.
• Acoustic Duo – £295 – 2 x45 min afternoon acoustic sets that are great to warm the crowd up before the full band.
• Second Female Vocalist -£195 - A Second Professional Female Vocalist to join the band and take the performance to a higher level.
• Saxophone - £195 - Have our Saxophonist spice up the night with a cheeky horn.
• Late Hours - £30 per member per hour - This is if you require band members to stay at your event beyond 12pm.
• Band-e-oke - £300 - Your chance for to take the stage and sing with the band for 45 minutes. Words and microphones provided so all your guests need is to bring their Air Guitars!
• Upgraded PA & lighting - £POA - Upgraded PA and lighting may be relevant if you have 250+ guests and will have to be discussed further before a quote can be provided.
